PTFE Gaskets & Seals

80,000 PTFE gaskets are no problem for our plotter. It is one of the most modern devices of this type in Europe with a cutting format of 2800mm x 5000mm. PTFE foil and plates for the production of gaskets can be found in many industries, from food to medical. Flat seals made of polytetrafluoroethylene, or PTFE for short, are characterized by almost universal chemical resistance. Furthermore, seals made of PTFE require a low surface pressure in order to achieve the required leakage rate, because they are very adaptable and tough. Flat gaskets can also be cut from PTFE reinforced with glass or carbon fiber and ePTFE, i.e. expanded PTFE. In the process of expanding, PTFE obtains a cellular structure, is more elastic and softer. The addition of glass fiber increases the resistance to bending, while the addition of carbon fiber increases the abrasion resistance.
